Who's next after Nilufer?

ingredients for a pot of 250 ml:
  • 1 liter whole milk
  • 300 g sugar
  • 1 / 2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 70 g Nigel
  • 0.5 dl coconut milk

1) Bring the milk to a boil, remove from heat then add the cumin. Cover pan and let infuse for 20 minutes.

2) Filter the preparation, put in a saucepan and add sugar and baking soda. Cook over low heat, very sweet for about 2 hours, stirring frequently. The consistency should be thick. I let the milk cook jam 2:30 to have a nice thick texture.

3) is completed by adding the coconut milk. It moves well together. This gives a confit of milk that can be put in pot.

Wait 2 days before serving. The texture and flavor will be sublimated. Keeps 1 week refrigerated.
Excellent with bun and braid. To die as a topping of crepe, like "blockhead" for a chocolate sauce or simply with a spoon ...

Which Hans Steam Mop Is The Best

ANGOULEME 2009

From 29 January to 1 February 2009 will be held in Angoulême on 36th international festival of comics, this Cannes festival for us, the great rout of phylacteries, fire Fireworks of the profession, the authors Bacchannal, the orgy of publishers and booksellers of debauchery!

Finally an opportunity for the media to talk seriously about our passion for a few days (except on TF1 where this may still be a distressing risibility) with reports and interviews galore.

Do not miss the press, which is generally a good job as the dailies Liberation and Le Figaro, one with back and fully illustrated by the other authors present at the show.

Arts magazine Telerama and Les Inrockuptibles should not be outdone.

For those who are lucky enough or unconsciousness (because the weekend is still shielded from the world to become agarophobe or misanthropic) to go to Angouleme, I advise you to visit the exhibitions at :

A note, too, very attractive program of music festival where, besides the famous concert drawings, Arthur H, Arno and Rodolphe Burger occur in the theater of Angouleme, respectively set illustration by Blain, Nix & Johan de Moor, Dupuy & Berberian. And

For all these reasons that the week of January 26 to 30, you will have the pleasure of being welcomed by Olivier because I am trying to enjoy it all.

And of course, will accompany me a thought for all the fans that signings are being suffocated under the bubbles of the festival, tramping for hours in the queue looooongue, avoiding sacks viciously deposited by professional hunters as I enjoy a glass of champagne in my restaurant petits fours (or a beer with a ham and butter, it will depend on the editor where I m'incrusterais ...).

She offers ice despite a tasty recipe, ideal for winter: quiche with quail eggs and ham:
below its participation

Sunday last week (between Christmas and the day of year) it would be a good meeting at home with the family of my godmother ... But sometimes it's like that in Quebec, there are missed because the world runs wild ... The thaw, rain, wind, frost, thaw, short queues electric break and then at night a whole neighborhood or city is left without electricity subscribers in 8000 were private and 52 000 in Jonquière Quebec . My neighborhood in Jonquière was the last city to be reconnected, we were more than 12 hours without electricity, some have told me 18 hours. This means three meals at picnic and eat cold huddled in our faux fur throws. With only playing for us unwind and drowsiness to overcome stress. But the reading was unthinkable a few hours, too hard to concentrate what!

It is true that we had our historic flood in Saguenay! After that, I also had two water damage in one house, a year apart, the stream adjoining the house knocked on the door one evening while they were preparing fresh pasta for dinner . It was necessary to rebuild the basement and renovate two consecutive years. The beautiful spring cleaning. After which he put the house up for sale. Hello campaign! We arrive in town. Understand that when a story like this happens, a small power outage a day, it puts us on the break, the stress rises to the surface alone. And I forgot to mention our first fire: a great fire of proteins with a ham who ran out of water! We had our share! Three years of crazy! And I have not mentioned the ice storm that had hit a large portion of Quebec there are about 10 years. Wow, the weather in Quebec, that we know.

Returning to the city life here and now or last week, this morning we had brunch with the family and I had to cancel everything. No electricity is not going away:

no heating, it is like a large refrigerator
no background music
impossible to make coffee or tea
impossible to cook or make waffles
cook good meat pie or sausage starry

or ham or so.

No phone because we are connected with Videotron!
No computer either to pass the time, we found ourselves frankly disappointed both, each on his couch eating his socks! Grrrrrrr ... It was not like that provided my brunch. Hydro Quebec Cheers!

So today here's what I improvised with mini-skewers brunch that my boyfriend were pretty but not too too much of the season he said to add when I offered him cold for supper because we had the power to 18h20 and from 17h only approximately we started to get really hungry. We finally decided to eat the cheese and the dish that our guests who had pointed us had still left out of kindness. I could not reach everyone, they are also without electricity and phone ... The poor, they are away empty handed and me on the floor, with their wine and cheese apologetic and confused at the highest point ... I still have discomfort, remorse and disappointment indescribable ... Here is as I said, but my mind wanders so much, quiche based breakfast kebabs air Easter brunch. On second thought, this must be the fault of the skewers finally made it too sweet ...

A pastry crust 9-inch prebaked at 450 F for 8 minutes (I had not rolled dough rest in the fridge)

Butter and oil 4 eggs, lightly beaten 500 g

1 cup plain yogurt cubes of cheddar
1 onion, thinly sliced 2 thick slices
a good smoked ham style barbecue (they were skewered)
1 jar of pickled quail eggs, drained and cut in half (they too were on skewers)
Salt and pepper Nutmeg
fresh grated

Heat butter and oil, sauté onion until transparent. Place on bottom of crust. In the same pan fry the diced ham slightly. Spoon into the pastry and add the cheese cubes so that they rub on the bottom of the dough. In skillet, brown the eggs lightly durs.Pendant cooked quail eggs that become golden, mix eggs with fork, then add the yogurt stirring. Season the mixture. Pour over crust. Garnish with quail eggs. Garnish with grated nutmeg. Bake. Bake at 450 F for 10 minutes. Lower the heat to 350 F and continue baking 20 minutes. Serve. Enjoy thinking about your plans for the new year ... Brief on the list of Father Christmas in 2009, there will be these items:

stove butane gas fireplace or wood stove can be ...

a cell phone thrown additional faux fur
batteries and candles, of course
in reserve two bottles of gasoline
melted cheeses, cold meats and terrines and good wine in the cold as it should ...

How To Remove Ikea Wall Mirror Glued To Wall

GOOD YEAR RESOLUTIONS 2009 AND BERNARD

For this new year started somewhat, we have taken many resolutions on this blog (who was sleeping Since early December, but what would you, Olivier and I were slightly overwhelmed by the Christmas period, it was difficult to be in the oven and the mill ...).

We swear to keep it regularly and feed it at least once a week (a priori, updated every Monday).

We will notify you of upcoming dates signings taking place in the bookstore and other events that can take us to heart (as it relates to the comic or not).

We'll share our favorites of the moment, and for punishment, I attack immediately with the beautiful, splendid and indispensable PINOCCHIO of Winshluss, published by The Hammerheads!

Winshluss offers a contemporary and offbeat tale of Italian.
no longer Pinocchio a wooden puppet bridging the emotional gap in its creator but a robot for the military industry. Jiminy is not a cricket but a cockroach squatter.
Winshluss plays on several graphics, black and white stripped and dirty for dirty Jiminy and line and edge set color Cizo for Pinocchio.
This album is a load of black humor to our liberalist-capitalist society which germinate readily on religious fundamentalism and totalitarianism.
short, a salutary reading in these times when the absurdity of the world is less and less fiction.
